Programme profile
This programme is a four-year degree programme. Following successful completion of the programme, students are awarded the Bachelor of Nursing Science (General) degree and are eligible to apply to register with An Bord Altranais.
The programme involves both theoretical (comprised of lectures, seminars, workshops, experiential learning skills and reading time) and clinical components.Students are required to complete their Clinical Practice placements throughout the Health Service Executive West. While on clinical placements students have a supervisor and are paid a salary.

On successful completion a graduate is eligible to apply for a professional registration (RGN, RPN or RNID) with the Irish Nursing Board
Entry Requirements
Students must present six subjects of which two must be at grade C or above at Advanced GCE (A-Level. The other subjects must be at least at grade C or above on GCSE or Advanced Subsidiary GCE (AS) papers. The six subjects must include: English, Mathematics, a Laboratory Science subject and a language other than English.
